CLASS 3

Class 3 is the final class at Pitsford and encompasses Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.

Mrs Brown & Mrs White teach the class while Mrs Coveney, Mrs Hollowell and Miss Isles support the children with their learning.

In Class 3, we work hard, challenge ourselves and laugh a lot! We aim to make the final years of Primary Education stimulating, exciting and enjoyable.

Our lessons adhere to the National Curriculum but also take the lead from us and our interests, as this is when the best learning occurs.

Year 4 and 5 is filled with lots of new opportunities and challenges to help us develop and become more independent as we prepare for Upper Key stage 2. We work alongside Walgrave Primary school (part of our Federation), this link enables the children to have opportunities to meet other children outside of our school – forming new relationships through joint class trips, curriculum days and residentials.

Alongside a varied curriculum, the children are able to extend their learning through trips, visitors and self-study projects. Our older children also act as buddies to the youngest members of our school.

Year 6 ends for our children with a series of fun and exciting activities, before a performance of our Leavers’ Assembly allowing the children to say goodbye to their primary school before continuing their journey at their respective secondary schools.

Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday.
