Education Beyond the Four Walls
An important part of life at Pitsford is the opportunity to experience a whole range of activities outside of the classroom.
Your child will have the chance to experience many school clubs and activities as well as many other extra-curricular events—designed to suit all tastes and interests.
At least two school trips/events are organised per academic year for each child, including a whole school Pantomime.
Year 4 & year 6 children enjoy a residential. Year 6 also take part in a 'Leaver's End of Year Trip', last year the school leavers were taken to Gullivers in Milton Keynes.
At the end of each academic year, the whole school participates an ‘end of year’ celebration. These end of year celebrations have in the past included trips to Hunstanton and Brixworth Country Park.
Forest Schools
All of our children take part in 'Forest Schools' sessions throughout the year.
These take place in the wild area to the front of the school or at the local woodlands near Pitsford Water. Through the activities taught, the children learn independence, problem-solving and teamwork skills and a great deal about the woodland environment.
Recent sessions have included:
- Den making challenges for hot, cold and wet environments.
- Tree, flower, minibeast and plant identification.
- The safe use of tools including saws and whittling knives.
- Fire safety, outdoor cooking and fire lighting.
Clubs
Your child will benefit from school clubs throughout the school year.
These vary seasonally to keep them fresh and interesting.

And the list keeps changing as the school extends its links with the wider community.
Music
Your child will also get the opportunity to learn a musical instrument as the following services are also provided:
